Obama is definitely "lethargic" when it comes to the strongest issue for Dems - the economy.

What's the reason? Is it lack of experience on Obama's part or concern over losing support from wealthy donors that makes him avoid tackling the most critical issue facing voters this year?

One would think he would want to show some passion, some dedication to addressing job loss, debt, etc.

What gives?  I can't pretend to understand much of anything Obama has done so far so I'm truly curious about why he's dragging his feet on this issue.

"No, the problem isn't lack of specifics -- it's lack of passion. When it comes to the economy, Mr. Obama's campaign seems oddly lethargic."

Something that half of the Democratic Party noticed during the primaries.

The Obama Campaign continues to march on to November on its own murky terms (latest murk: no slot for Wes Clark at the Convention), and now we're getting a glimpse of what that's wrought:  see new polls in Ohio and Colorado. I'm actually beginning to think we're may accomplish the nearly impossible: putting John McCain in the WH after 8 disastrous Bush/GOP years...

Sad to say, it may happen (none / 0)

After spending the last 2 weeks on vacation, I've found a great deal of lethargy among most people I've talked to.  They don't want McCain, but Obama is giving them nothing to get excited about.  Starting to hear a lot of "lesser of two evils" talk.

This should be easy, but Obama is making it soooo hard.
